The major aim of Lebel research program is to develop new synthetic methodologies in organic chemistry based on transition metal catalyzed-processes. We are interested in discovering new synthetic pathways and new reactions that are either challenging or impossible to achieve by standard methods. Alkene and amine functionalities are particularly appealing to us, because of their prevalence in organic synthesis, mainly as important building blocks. They are also found in many biologically important small molecules. We also used continuous flow synthesis and photochemical processes as novel tools in organometallic catalysis.
